Danish Meatballs

Danish meatballs on a plate with peppers.

Ingredients for meatballs:

  • 1 pound of hamburger meat
  • 1/3 cups ketchup
  • 2 teaspoons worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon pepper
  • 3-4 dashes of Tabasco sauce
  • 1/2 minced green pepper

Ingredients for sauce:

  • 3/4 cup ketchup
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/4 cup cider vinegar
  • 3 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • 3-4 dashes of Tabasco sauce
  • 2 teaspoons soy sauce
  • 2 teaspoons sugar

Preparation for meatballs:

  1. Mix well and form into balls the size of a walnut.
  2. Cook over low heat until done but not brown.

Preparation for sauce:

  1. Simmer for approximately 20 minutes.
  2. Pour over meat balls.
