Crunchy Beans with Turnips

Crunchy beans and turnips sourced from a SoCal garden center.

Ingredients:

  • 3 ounces turnips sliced to 1/4 inch thick
  • 3 ounces cooked lima beans
  • 2 tablespoons minced chives
  • 1 teaspoon curry
  • 1 teaspoon soy sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons soy oil
  • 1 1/2 ounce chopped walnuts
  • 3 ounces soybean sprouts

Preparation:

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
  2. Lightly grease 4 x 8 baking pan with soy oil.
  3. Steam turnips.
  4. Combine lima beans, chives, curry, soy sauce, salt and soy oil in a blender with 2 ounces water.
  5. Puree until smooth.
  6. Combine all ingredients together and mix well.
  7. Transfer to baking pan and cook for 15 minutes.
