I was amazed at the variety and selection of plants at Green Thumb. I was specifically looking for herbs and vegetables and did my best not stray away and look at everything, as I could have easily spent hours looking at everything. It was beautifully organized and all of the plants were really healthy. I also found the pricing was much better than Lowe's or Home Depot. Can’t wait to go back and look around!

Great variety of everything you are looking for. Was looking for bonsai pots all over SD and they just had a new shipment of bonsai pots where no one else has. Awesome collection of roses to choose from. They have everything from bougainvillea to peonies to herbs and different chili peppers. Well rounded nursery with a bit of everything!

This place is insane! Incredible rare succulents, California native plants and houseplants. Staff are very helpful and knowledgeable and plants are incredibly healthy specimens. Five stars!

We recently shopped at Green Thumb, San Marcos. We were looking for tomatoes. A very friendly associate helped us find our favorite tomatoes, Early Girl and Beefsteak. They’ve been planted for a week now and have doubled in size. They are so healthy looking and we can’t wait until we have our first tomato of the season.

Great selection of plants and garden products, friendly knowledge staff.I like their weekly news letter via email which includes a coupon; however, they should just standardize the coupon to 10% off a purchase vice varying the purchase amount every week.

Many thanks to the five employees that I had the pleasure to speak at the San Marcos branch. A special thanks to the younger Mr. Mike. I had called earlier to see if they had what I wanted and he confirmed it was available.At the nursery he directed me to the area and answered my questions patiently. Another gentleman I spoke to was also very informative about another plant that I was interested in.The three young ladies were very pleasant and helpful.I thank you all.David

What an amazing place! I’ll definitely be coming back. Came to get an indoor plant for Valentine’s Day. I didn’t get the gentleman’s name but he said he was from Texas. He was a genius with the plants! Gave me advice on nurturing at home and answered all my questions. Ask him nurturing advice about any plant in their green room and he knew everything! He showed me an Aglaonema Pictum Tricolor locked up in a cage. Said they are rare and hard to come by and I knew I had to have it! Such a unique plant. 5 stars to the staff, facility and selection of plants!

I love this place! It isn’t just a plant shopping destination, it’s a relaxing and informative break in your day. All they need now is a cafe or barista station to complete this reprieve from the rat race. There’s a wide range of seeds, as well as indoor and outdoor plants, fertilizers and ornamental pots, plus all kinds of products that other garden centers don’t carry, such as pond accessories, bags of bat guano or containers of helpful lady bugs or earthworms. You can even have them identify what’s bothering your plant at home. Young children will enjoy the tiny shopping carts they can push around. Holiday and seasonal decorations are beautiful. Remember to pick up your Edible San Diego magazine on your way out. 🙂

This nursery has so many different types of plants, I love coming here to find new varieties of tomatoes to try out that you can’t find anywhere else in North County. They even have awesome driftwood to purchase, from small to extra large ones. I’ve never left empty-handed from this place.

I really love this place. I feel like I'm walking into an oasis. I usually stay for quite a while! Everyone here is very helpful, informative and knowledgeable and friendly. I always find really good quality Items and I buy all of my soil and compost here, it's more specialty and works great for my potted plants and my inground plants.

I am a newcomer to gardening in SOCAL. I had a beautiful garden in NY, but this zone is completely different. I find Green Thumb to be very helpful. The staff is knowledgeable, the stock is plentiful, and the prices are the best around. I look forward to learning all about this new climate and gardening here with Green Thumb’s help.

Green Thumb Nursery has some of the best selection of native plants in the area. If you want to provide a great yard for local pollinators I suggest you look into Green Thumb Nursery. Their staff is very helpful showing you around and providing tips. They also are a great source if you want native Milkweed for Monarchs. Check them out if you haven’t already.
